Effective 18 September 2026.
The Terms of use draw the legal line. This page is about how to talk to people.
This is a small site. There is no dedicated moderation team, so the rules are short and enforcement is not mechanical — but the items below are firm.
This is a translation. The Chinese version governs if the two differ.
Hard limits
These are removed on sight, and serious cases mean an immediate ban with no warning:
- Content that breaks the law
- Personal attacks, abuse, harassment, threats
- Discriminatory speech (ethnicity, region, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability and so on)
- Exposing someone's private information — real name, address, phone number, ID number, private photos — regardless of how you obtained it
- Sexual, gory or extremely violent content
- Advertising, promotional links, group recruitment, flooding
- Malware and phishing links
What we ask of you
- Argue with the point, not the person. If you disagree, say why, rather than characterising who they are.
- The comments are not a search engine. Check whether the article already answers your question.
- Attribute what you quote.
- Do not repost. Silence usually is not because nobody saw it.
AI-generated content
Using AI to help you write is not prohibited. But:
- Do not present AI output as first-hand experience or established fact, especially technical conclusions. A wrong technical answer wastes the time of everyone who finds it later.
- Long stretches of unverified AI output are treated as flooding.
Enforcement
Four tiers, by severity and by whether it is repeated:
| Tier | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Content removed |
| 2 | Content removed, posting suspended |
| 3 | Account suspended |
| 4 | Account terminated |
Anything under "hard limits" starts at tier 3.
Content that may be unlawful is preserved as required and reported to the competent authorities.
Appeals
If you think a decision was wrong, open a support ticket and state the facts as you see them. We will read it. We do not promise to change the outcome, and we do not promise a response time — this is a site run by one person.
The operator is bound too
- Removals leave an audit trail.
- Comments are not removed for being unflattering to the operator. Criticism of this site, and pointing out its mistakes, is welcome.
- Changes to these guidelines update the effective date on this page.
