- Portal / Account / ZaunEkko's Blog / API Marketplace / Status / Docs
Effective 18 September 2026.
These are the rules for using the ZaunEkko sites and where each side's responsibility ends. Creating an account or using the services means you accept them.
This site is operated by an individual. That shapes much of what follows — do not hold it to the service levels of a commercial platform.
This is a translation. The Chinese version governs if the two differ.
1. What is here
| Site | Provides |
|---|---|
| Portal | Public entry point and cross-site navigation |
| Account | Identity, sign-in and authorisation, levels and points |
| ZaunEkko's Blog | Articles, notes, comments |
| API Marketplace | Service catalog, calls and settlement |
| Status | A public availability summary |
| Docs | Usage and developer documentation |
All six share one account. No site will ever ask you for a password separate from Account — if one does, that is an anomaly. Do not enter it, and tell us.
2. Accounts
- One person should in principle hold one account. Duplicates are not auto-banned, but points and levels do not merge across accounts, so read the notices on the sign-in and account pages.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account. Keep your password safe; enabling two-factor is strongly recommended.
- If something looks wrong, change your password, end all sessions under Security, and contact us.
- Usernames and display names must not impersonate others or contain unlawful content. We may reset them where necessary.
3. What you post
You keep your copyright. We claim no ownership of your comments, submissions or other content.
So the site can function, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to store, display and transmit your content on these sites and in the technical copies they require (caches, backups, search indexes). Deleting your content ends that licence, though existing backups may persist for one rotation cycle.
We do not use your content to train models, and we do not resell it.
Conduct rules are in the Community guidelines.
4. What you must not do
- Break the laws of the People's Republic of China
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights
- Upload malicious code, or attempt to bypass authentication, escalate privileges or disrupt availability
- Scrape in bulk, load-test, or call the APIs far beyond normal use
- Impersonate another person or the site operator
- Game the points, level or badge mechanisms
Enforcement is described in the community guidelines. Where conduct may be unlawful, we will cooperate with the competent authorities.
5. Points, levels and paid services
- Points are not currency. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between users, or refunded on account closure.
- The points ledger is never rewritten. Errors are corrected by adding a correcting entry, not by editing history.
- For services on the API Marketplace supplied by third parties, that provider is responsible for the content and quality. We provide the catalog, the call path and settlement; we make no warranty about a third party's output.
- A completed call settles. Disputes go through a support ticket.
6. Availability
The sites are provided as is, with no availability commitment (no SLA).
Individual operation means: interruptions for maintenance, faults or events beyond our control; features may be discontinued; in the extreme, the service may stop entirely. We will try to give notice, but cannot promise how much.
The Status site shows a current availability summary. It is not a service commitment.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect loss, data loss or lost profits arising from use of, or inability to use, the sites.
- Keep your own backups of anything important. We have backups, but they exist to run the service, not to archive your data.
- Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, nor liability for our own wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
8. External links and social sign-in
The sites may link to external websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
When you use social sign-in, your relationship with that platform is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. What we receive from them is listed in the Privacy policy.
9. Termination
- You may close your account at any time, self-service under Security. What closure does — anonymisation rather than erasure — is described in the privacy policy.
- We may suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated breaches. Unless the conduct is unlawful or poses immediate risk, we will tell you first.
10. Changes
Material changes update the effective date here and are noted in the site changelog. Continuing to use the sites afterwards means you accept them. If you do not, you can close your account.
11. Governing law
The laws of the People's Republic of China apply. Disputes that cannot be settled by negotiation go to a competent people's court at the operator's location.
